I have heard Melissa Steeves speak on two separate occasions. The first time I had gone to a ladies supper after moving to Lethbridge from Northern Alberta where I had lived for 2 years. Lonely and afraid of rejection, I was very impressed by her honesty, warmth and genuine love for the Lord and those woman like me with whom she was sharing her story. In many ways I could identify with her and even though the “Tigers” in her life may not have been the same ones in mine, Tigers are still Tigers regardless of the form they take. The second time I heard her, again at a different ladies supper, I picked up on things missed the first time around. I realized that her story could not only help women but also the men they love and shared this with my husband later as he carries scars from his past that God needs to completely heal and fear that Satan sometimes uses to disrupt his life. I have known Melissa for many years and have seen her become a woman who loves the Lord above all else. In her desire to serve Him she wants to do and go where He wants her to go. She has studied alot in schooling and personal studies and knows God's word. She has lead bible studies, sunday school classes and personal studies.
